Client Brief

  1. Having already assisted the previous owner of this significant and historic house with renovations and styling, it was a great pleasure when the new owners contacted us and invited us to meet and discuss the development of the already beautiful and familiar interiors for their own use and enjoyment

  2. In particular the clients requested assistance with a complete renovation of the historic Ballroom and the original cedar staircase, the only elements that had not previously been restored

  3. It was important to the new owners that the vast Ballroom become a more useable space for their extensive family and friends

Outcome

  1. The sympathetic development of a significant but previously unused space which has now become a major element in this family home 

  2. The newly restored, historic staircase is located at the centre of the house and is now a beautiful, harmonious focal point when moving through the ground floor

  3. A shortened period of time for the works was possible because of; our intimate knowledge of the interior and the finishes previously used; and our decision to re-engage trades people who previously worked on the home
